Sail Away, do you know anything, or are you just guessing?!! We have to know!!
If they ARE definatly doing something, then it's probably a good idea to keep it hush hush. When you find out sometihng sooooooooooooo far in advance it loses its apeal! i wish that the Living dEad Dolls wouldn't show pics of their new series 4-5 months before release. They get old that way.
I am kind of curious about the 20th anniversary, but..... I can wait.
Hmmmmm
I'm still hoping.
I don't think we can rule out anything yet. Except that there wont be a book about the history of AG (but did anyone actually think they'd do that? I think most of us were just hoping there'd be one), as we already have seen the list of books being published in the Fall.
I guess, technically, we also know there wont be a new historical to mark the event. Emily is coming, so there definitely wont be a new-new historical. And Jess doesn't seem to be their "look at us! We're 20!!!"
It would be very disappointing if they don't do anything for the 20th. Right now, I'd even be happy with another dinky, ugly shirt like for the 10th.
I wonder if, perhaps, current AG doesn't consider themselves to be 20, since they've only been American Girl, as opposed to Pleasant Company's American Girl for like 8 years? I hope not; 2008 would be a very random year to most of us for them to celebrate.
I'm really just hoping for an 80s-style outfit. That shouldn't be TOO hard: little skirt, top (perhaps the kind that has a tank top under neath and a too big shirt on top where you can see the tank's straps), and 3/4 leggings, and some flats. Not tooooo hard, and although its very stereotypical of the 80s, it's definitely what little girls right now probably equate with 80s.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif"> Lucky for your girls then, lol. Hey! I really like that little shirt! My girls consider it a very high honour when they're allowed to wear it.
I have the girl sized one somewhere, and it's nice to sleep in. I think I left the doll sized one at one my little AG friends' house back in the day. I'm not too sad about it, either. Might have to buy one on ebay at some point, just because it's special AG-wise, no matter how ugly I think it is, lol.
